Ancrum Electronics Ltd is the Regional authorised service centre for warranty repairs and installation of 3D Plasma TV's & 3D LCD TV's ,Plasma TV's, LCD TV's, Home-Theatre systems, Recordable hard drive DVD players, HI-FI etc.
We repair a huge variety of products including most of the products we sell.
We also sell & repair:computers, laptop and note books.

Warranty Repairs
All 3D Plasma TV's & 3D LCD TV's ,Plasma TV's, LCD TV's, Home-Theatre systems, Recordable hard drive DVD players, HI-FI etc., are generally sold with a manufactures' guarantee, know as a warranty. Generally customers should contact the manufacture: the contact details are normally found on a card included with the instruction manual. The manufacture then contact us and we then arrange a visit. Most repairs are workshop repairs which means we uplift the appliance and bring it back to the workshop. If customers have problems contacting the manufacture then we can advise arrange a warranty repair.Proof of purchase is mandatory: With out that we have difficulty getting paid by the manufacture.
Types of Warranty Repair
Uplift Services / in home visit:
generally all 3D Plasma TV's & 3D LCD TV's ,Plasma TV's, LCD TV's over 32" screen size. Carry-in service: LCD TV's 32" screen size & smaller, together with small items such as: Home-Theatre systems, Recordable hard drive DVD players, DVD's, HI-FI etc. These products are brought to the repair centre by the customer.
Please note: remote control & proof of purchase required.
Extended Warranty / Insurance repairs
The procedure is similar to warranty repairs. All items are generally uplifts / home visits. With the exception of Domestic & General (D&G) customers, we will contact the customer to arrange the repair / visit. D&G customers should phone D&G. They will give you a referral number. You then phone Ancrum or South Esk. D&G will inform you of the repair centre to call. We will then arrange a visit etc.
Out of Warranty Repairs (Chargeable)
12 month's guarantee on labour & 3 months on parts.
Carry-In
We charge a £40 inspection fee payable per item when the item is booked in for repair.We will then provide an estimate. If we go ahead with the repair then the inspection fee is deducted from the total cost of the repair. The inspection fee is lost if we do not go ahead with the repair ie if the estistmate is refused; if we cannot not repair the item due to parts not available or we cannot get any technical information on the item etc.
